FIU Football Coaching Staff 2010
Head Coach Mario Cristobal
Mario Cristobal was named the head coach of the FIU Panthers football team in December 2007. He previously served as the offensive line coach for the Miami Hurricanes from 2004 to 2006.
Cristobal has led the Panthers to three bowl games in his six seasons at the helm. He was named the Sun Belt Conference Coach of the Year in 2010 and 2011.
Offensive Coordinator Kendal Briles
Kendal Briles was named the offensive coordinator of the FIU Panthers football team in January 2019. He previously served as the offensive coordinator for the Houston Cougars from 2012 to 2017.
Briles is known for his high-powered offenses. He has coached several quarterbacks to success, including Case Keenum, Greg Ward Jr., and D'Eriq King.
Defensive Coordinator Ron Cooper
Ron Cooper was named the defensive coordinator of the FIU Panthers football team in January 2019. He previously served as the defensive coordinator for the UTSA Roadrunners from 2014 to 2018.
Cooper is known for his aggressive defenses. He has coached several players to success, including Marcus Davenport, Kevin Strong, and Josiah Bronson.
