Uruguay and Colombia played to a 0-0 draw in their Copa America quarterfinal on Saturday, setting up a penalty shootout that Colombia won 5-4.
Uruguay was without key midfielder Nahitan Nandez, who was suspended after receiving a red card in the quarterfinals. Ronald Araujo also missed the match with an injury.
Colombia took the lead in the penalty shootout when James Rodriguez converted his spot kick. Luis Suarez equalized for Uruguay, but Colombia goalkeeper David Ospina saved the next two Uruguayan penalties to give his team the win.
Colombia will now face Argentina in the semifinals on Tuesday.
