Brunson's Historic Performance Propels Knicks to 2-1 Series Lead
In a thrilling Game 3 of the Eastern Conference semifinals, Jalen Brunson put on a historic performance, scoring a career-high 50 points and hitting all nine of his 3-point attempts. His incredible shooting display led the New York Knicks to a 113-105 victory over the Dallas Mavericks, giving them a 2-1 lead in the series.
Brunson's performance was the talk of the night, as he became the first Knicks player since Bernard King in 1984 to score 50 points in a playoff game. He was unstoppable from downtown, hitting 9-of-9 from beyond the arc, and also added 5 rebounds and 6 assists.
Julius Randle also contributed significantly for the Knicks, scoring 23 points and grabbing 10 rebounds. Evan Fournier added 17 points, while Mitchell Robinson had 11 points, 19 rebounds, and 3 blocks.
For the Mavericks, Luka Dončić struggled uncharacteristically, scoring just 26 points on 8-of-24 shooting. Jalen Brunson led the way with 19 points, while Dorian Finney-Smith added 17 points.
