Use a Compatible Application Client

Ensure that you are using an application client that supports animated GIFs. If you are using Microsoft Outlook, it must be Outlook 2010 or later to play GIFs.

Open GIFs in PreviewProperties Window

To play animated GIF files, open the files in the PreviewProperties window. To do this, select the GIF file attachment in the Outlook email and click on "Preview" in the Attachments tab.
